BANDAI SPIRITS' HOBBY Division in Japan has announced the latest product from their original "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline" (Kyoukai Senki) project: the "HG 1/72 Bunyip Boomerang," slated for release in October 2021.

The Bunyip Boomerang is an unmanned AMAIN combat unit developed by the Oceania Union Army. Its most distinctive features are its lack of arms and bipedal locomotion, capable of transforming into three distinct forms based on operational needs. These include the "Storage Mode," which retracts its legs and various armaments; the "Patrol Mode," which deploys its legs for reconnaissance and movement; and the "High Mobility Combat Mode," which simultaneously deploys its head, legs, and weaponry.

The "HG 1/72 Bunyip Boomerang" kit, with its articulation mechanisms verified by the KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN team, faithfully recreates the unique joint designs seen in the series. It accurately captures the three transformation modes, and by swapping parts, collectors can deploy the dagger-type armaments on both sides of the chest. Additionally, a clear stand is included to assist with display.
