Following their previous releases based on the 2019 film "Alita: Battle Angel"—the "Alita Berserker" and "Alita Motorball" statues—Japanese high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio also officially unveiled their latest 1/4 scale full-body statue of Gally (ガリィ) from Yukito Kishiro's sci-fi manga "Gunnm" yesterday, the 20th, as part of their "Premium Masterline" series. Both Regular and Ultimate Editions will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping window of March to June 2022.
This piece stands approximately 55 cm tall, capturing Gally's agile pose as she effortlessly vaults over the remnants of a concrete wall, wielding her Damascus Blade. From her delicate face, large eyes, and pouty lips, to her petite, armored body, Prime 1 Studio has meticulously recreated every detail with exceptional sculpting prowess. The dynamic flow of her short hair and the realistic contours of her hips are expertly rendered, and even the battle-worn damage on her armor is faithfully depicted. The statue includes two interchangeable head sculpts, and the base features the scattered head of a Socket soldier, partially severed at the top with its brain exposed, powerfully conveying the near-future dystopian world of "Gunnm."
The Ultimate Edition further enhances the display with an intense, roaring Gally head sculpt and a sand-colored cape for enhanced versatility. The base for this version is also upgraded to feature a Socket soldier equipped with combat gear, increasing the statue's height to 64 cm. The fully armed Socket soldier is not only pinned to the ground but also has an eyeball bursting out—a violent depiction that powerfully emphasizes Gally's extraordinary combat prowess!
