US-based collectible manufacturer Sideshow Collectibles recently unveiled a new full-body statue of the iconic Marvel supervillain, Doctor Doom! Both a Regular Edition and an EX Edition will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping window of May to July 2022.
Originally named Victor von Doom, Doctor Doom first appeared in "Fantastic Four" #5 in 1962. He is a master of both technology and magic, two seemingly conflicting domains. His strategic and leadership talents have also made him the de facto dictator of the small nation of Latveria. His signature look features full metallic armor and a green tunic. This impressive statue captures the formidable supervillain in a grand 68.6 cm (27 inches) scale, faithfully recreating his heavy, rigid silver armor. The sculpt vividly renders the folds of his hood and jumpsuit, while his cape is made of real fabric with an internal bendable wire for dynamic posing.
The rock-textured, stepped display base also features a golden flagpole adorned with Latveria's flag. The EX Edition further includes an additional interchangeable head sculpt with a different helmet design.
