Good Smile Company's MODEROID model kit series, following the popular stop-motion animation "PUI PUI Molcar" releases of Potato, Shiromo, and Abby, is now launching its second wave. This new lineup includes Armed Teddy and the MODEROID PUI PUI Molcar Choco, transforming the adorable Molcars into assembly kits. They are slated for release in February 2022!
The original Japanese stop-motion TV animation, "PUI PUI Molcar" (PUI PUI モルカー), directed and written by Tomoki Misato, features vehicles modeled after guinea pigs, known as "Molcars" (モルカー), crafted from felt. Centered around unique scenarios involving these guinea pig-cars, the series showcases the Molcars with their shiny black eyes, short limbs, and distinctive "PUI PUI" calls. Each episode, lasting a mere 2 minutes and 40 seconds, unfolds with heartwarming tales of healing, friendship, adventure, and chaotic action!
The MODEROID PUI PUI Molcar Choco model kit, once assembled, measures approximately 70mm in length. It faithfully recreates Choco's light brown fur and features colorful parts to build her blue flower accessory, blue and yellow windows, and wheels. The kit includes two types of wheels – one for static display and another for rolling action – allowing fans to enjoy Choco in various poses. Additionally, it comes with spy goggles accessories to transform her into "Spy Choco," along with an unpainted gray model of a gun-wielding villain. Paired with sweat and tear expression stickers, collectors can perfectly recreate iconic scenes from the show!
