Following the immensely popular first release, the Millennium Puzzle, BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division's new ULTIMAGEAR model kit series has announced its second product: the "Gold Sarcophagus" from "Yu-Gi-Oh!". This highly anticipated item is slated for release in February 2022.
Each product in the "ULTIMAGEAR" series is designed around an "ultimate feature" that allows builders to physically experience and recreate iconic elements from their respective series. Leveraging the Hobby Division's extensive experience in product design, mold creation, and production technology, ULTIMAGEAR faithfully reproduces the structure, mechanisms, and textures of in-universe items. Crucially, ULTIMAGEAR also aims to capture the "settings" of these items as depicted in their stories, allowing the assembly process to evoke the feeling of characters using them, as if the actual artifact is right in your hands!
The second release, the "ULTIMAGEAR Gold Sarcophagus," brings to life the iconic storage box from "Yu-Gi-Oh!" used to house the Millennium Item, the Millennium Puzzle. This kit meticulously recreates characteristic details such as the Eye of Anubis and Egyptian hieroglyphic patterns on the sarcophagus. Furthermore, it's designed to hold the 33 unassembled pieces of the Millennium Puzzle one by one, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in Yugi's experience of assembling the Puzzle! It makes for an incredibly impactful display piece or a functional storage box.
