Beneath a cute exterior lies an abyss of darkness and terror! Developed and published by game company Nippon Ichi Software, the latest installment in the endlessly oppressive horror game series, "Yomawari," titled "Yomawari: Lost in the Dark," is set to release on April 21, 2022, for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Fans who have played the previous two titles, "Yomawari: Night Alone" and "Yomawari: Midnight Shadows," will undoubtedly be familiar with and deeply impressed by this series. While "Yomawari: Lost in the Dark" may not boast the flashy, hyper-realistic graphics of 3D action horror games like "Resident Evil," "Fatal Frame," or "The Evil Within," its masterful atmosphere and compelling storytelling are absolutely on par with those major titles. The combination of adorable characters and various monsters inspired by folklore and urban legends makes this series an incredibly tense and thrilling experience.
Currently, "Yomawari: Lost in the Dark" already has an official website and a trailer available. It will be released for PS4 and Switch in both a standard edition (physical and digital) and a limited edition. The limited edition comes with a deluxe collector's box, an original soundtrack CD, an art book, and a set of 10 commemorative stamps featuring unique illustrations.
