Japanese company Prime 1 Studio is set to release a new 1/4 scale statue of the beloved character Chun-Li from the iconic fighting game "Street Fighter" as part of their popular "Ultimate Premium Masterline" series. This particular release is a 2P Pink Limited Edition, slated for release between December 2022 and March 2023.
Back when "Street Fighter II" first launched, players couldn't select the same character for both Player 1 and Player 2. If two players wanted to duke it out with the same fighter, they'd have to resort to rock-paper-scissors or drawing straws to decide. This limitation was addressed with "Street Fighter II Dash," which introduced the ability for both players to pick the same character, distinguished by different color palettes. Many of these 2P colors became iconic in their own right, such as Ryu's gray and black gi, Chun-Li's vibrant pink outfit, and M. Bison's (Vega in Japan) green uniform, offering players a distinct visual experience from the default looks.
This Prime 1 Studio limited edition Chun-Li statue faithfully recreates her iconic 2P pink costume, replacing her standard blue attire. This highly exclusive piece is limited to just 150 units worldwide. The statue's overall content, specifications, and intricate details remain consistent with the previously released regular version. Collectors will appreciate the inclusion of two interchangeable head sculpts, each featuring a different expression. Furthermore, the meticulously crafted base, designed to resemble a broken tavern sign, adds another layer of exquisite detail.
