Does the spirit of dance still reside in your heart? Japanese gashapon toy maker J.DREAM will be releasing a gashapon toy based on the highly popular, coin-guzzling music dance arcade machines found in arcades! It is scheduled for release in October 2022.

The biggest difference between arcade games and home consoles lies in the fact that certain types of arcade machines can always provide a more immersive and realistic gaming experience. In 1998, KONAMI's "Dance Dance Revolution" swept through the arcade market, creating a dance craze. Many players who usually disliked being in the spotlight couldn't help but invest heavily in this game, dancing passionately and sweating profusely under the gaze of others. With four arrows paired with various fast and slow passionate dance tracks, arcades suddenly became as lively as dance floors. This trend later extended to home console peripherals and beyond, leading to the development of many dance machines with different gameplay styles, such as ParaPara.
This gashapon toy from J.DREAM miniaturizes the familiar dance machines from our memories. It comes in five color variations: white, black, gold, red, and silver, with each displaying a different screen pattern. The toy is divided into two parts, the machine cabinet and the dance pad, and stands approximately 7.6 cm tall. If you collect the complete set, they can be combined and arranged, making one recall those youthful days spent passionately hitting every beat on the dance machine.
