The incredibly popular figma "Table Museum" (テーブル美術館) articulated figure series from Japanese toy company FREEing (FREEing Co., Ltd.) is proud to announce its latest release: "figma Botticelli's The Birth of Venus"! Following popular works such as "Venus de Milo" and "Winged Victory of Samothrace," this new addition brings to life another classic from the Renaissance period. The suggested retail price is 14,300 JPY, with an anticipated release in May 2023.
One of the most renowned masterpieces by the Florentine painter Sandro Botticelli from the Italian Renaissance, "The Birth of Venus" depicts the Greek goddess Venus emerging from the sea with soft, flowing lines. The nude Venus stands upon a colossal seashell, as the goddess of spring prepares to drape her in elegant robes, and the wind god's gentle breezes stir her hair, creating an atmosphere of unique feminine grace and emotion.
The eleventh installment in the Table Museum series, "figma Botticelli's The Birth of Venus," combines a flat pictorial backdrop with dedicated frame parts, bringing the gracefully posed goddess Venus, with her tender gaze, into three dimensions. Standing approximately 155 mm tall, her nude form features soft, skin-tone shading, while her hair is rendered with a pearlescent finish, creating an overall ethereal and elegant appearance. The base beneath her feet is also designed in the shape of a seashell! Included are hair parts that recreate the painting's original style, along with dynamic, flowing interchangeable parts. Also included are popular modern girl gestures like heart-hands and peace signs, allowing for enjoyment of Venus in various moods.
