Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales continues the story after Marvel's Spider-Man and can be considered an enhanced version of its predecessor. The story follows Miles, who was bitten by a genetically modified spider in the previous game and became a new Spider-Man under Peter's tutelage. When Peter goes on a business trip to Europe, he temporarily entrusts Miles with the responsibility of protecting New York. This game depicts Miles's struggles with the new villains, the 'Underground' gang, and the energy supplier 'Roxxon,' after taking on the mantle of Spider-Man.

The gameplay in this installment is largely similar to its predecessor. Players will take on the role of Miles, defending peace across the vast expanse of New York City.
The highly acclaimed web-swinging system from the previous game has evolved further. Not only is the control more intuitive and smooth, but aerial tricks, which were merely for entertainment in the first game, now include charge-up and acceleration functions. Miles can even combine them with his Venom Power for a double jump in mid-air. It still offers such an exhilarating movement experience that you'll completely forget about using the fast travel system.

In terms of combat, it remains a system centered around perfect dodges. However, in addition to web-shooters and various Spider-Gadgets, Miles also gains many new finishing moves and the crucial 'Venom Power'.

Venom Power is a special ability Miles possesses in the original comics, allowing him to generate bio-electricity and unleash electrified attacks on enemies. In this game, it functions as a special move system, where attacking accumulates Venom Power, enabling skills like 'Venom Punch,' 'Venom Jump,' and more.
These attacks are not only far more powerful than regular punches and kicks but can also break through the new villainous Underground gang's various high-tech defenses, even inflicting a stunning effect on nearby opponents. While the overall combat style remains similar to the previous game, fighting as Miles simply feels more exhilarating than as Peter.

Furthermore, the stealth elements, which were less significant in the previous game, have been enhanced this time around.
Miles's other special ability this time is camouflage. He can use stealth energy for a brief period of invisibility. If undetected, this can be used for eavesdropping or stealing certain items. If already exposed, enemies will even momentarily lose their target, allowing you to re-enter stealth mode. This is incredibly useful; compared to the previous game where combat meant fighting to the end, stealth is clearly more meaningful now.

Beyond the game's selling points, as a PC version, it's essential to highlight the differences from the PS5 version.
To accommodate the diverse graphical demands of PC players, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales unlocks a wealth of graphics options for various devices. Not only are refresh rates and resolutions unlocked, but NVIDIA DLSS 3, NVIDIA DLAA for deep learning and latency reduction, and NVIDIA Reflex are all fully supported. Of course, AMD users also benefit from support for AMD FSR 2.1, Intel XeSS, and IGTI, along with ultra-widescreen resolutions including 16:9, 16:10, 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9.
My personal feeling is that the optimization support is significantly better than the initial release of the previous game, indicating that the experience from the first title was indeed put to good use.

Regarding keyboard and mouse controls, the default keybindings are largely unchanged, but due to the evolution of the web-swinging system, the smoothness of keyboard operation has seen a slight improvement. The custom keybinding feature from the previous game is also present, as is the adaptive trigger functionality when connecting a PS5 controller.

As for ray tracing, this version is also more advanced than the PS5 version. Not only are there numerous ray tracing detail options to adjust, but the performance on a PC with sufficient hardware is truly impressive, with real-time lighting and shadow changes appearing incredibly dazzling. Miles's black suit also looks even cooler under the lights and moonlight.

In conclusion, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a remarkably mature port. Not only is its optimization performance excellent, but the numerous new graphics options on the PC version allow players to witness the game's true potential. While this title doesn't add new story content not found on PS5, and thus the game length remains relatively short, everything else truly makes it a top-tier choice among current AAA games. We highly recommend it to players who are not satisfied with the PS5's performance or those who have never played a Spider-Man game before; we believe that after playing, you will undoubtedly look forward to a potential sequel next year.
