Japanese company Bushiroad Creative's gashapon brand TAMA-KYU (Tamakyu) is scheduled to release a new gashapon toy called "Tempura Model Donburi" (tentative translation, Tenpuramodon) in late December 2022!
This "Tempura Model Donburi" is a product that combines the Japanese words for Tendon (Tempura Donburi) and Plastic Model: "tenpuradon" and "puramoderu". It allows you to assemble the components of various donburi bowls in the form of a plastic model, including the bowl, rice, and plastic runners holding crispy tempura. It will be released as an eco-friendly shell-less gashapon. There are five flavors in total: "Ebi Tendon" (Shrimp Tempura Donburi), "Ika Tendon" (Squid Tempura Donburi), "Kabocha Tendon" (Pumpkin Tempura Donburi), "Kakiage Tendon" (Mixed Vegetable Tempura Donburi), and "Anago Tendon" (Conger Eel Tempura Donburi). Each bowl is approximately 6 cm in size. Although the TAMA-KYU official website states that the tempura is not designed to be cut off, the editor believes we will still see many impressive custom works.
