Japanese model manufacturer MEDICOM TOY's large-scale action figure series, 『REAL ACTION HEROES』, today announced the latest product from the movie "Shin Kamen Rider," the "RAH Kamen Rider No. 1 (Shin Kamen Rider)," slated for release in December 2023.
Set to premiere in March 2023, the Kamen Rider 50th anniversary commemorative work 《Shin Kamen Rider》 is a reinterpretation of the original "Kamen Rider" by director Hideaki Anno. Featuring talented new-generation actors Sosuke Ikematsu as the new Takeshi Hongo and Tasuku Emoto as Hayato Ichimonji, the film blends nostalgic elements with a modern style, allowing audiences to once again relive Kamen Rider No. 1 and No. 2 joining forces against the evil organization "Shocker" that seeks to conquer the world.
The "RAH Kamen Rider No. 1 (Shin Kamen Rider)" faithfully recreates the newly redesigned Kamen Rider No. 1 from the film with a fully articulated 30 cm tall specification. Through precise sculpting and rich color application, it thoroughly restores the compound eyes on the head, the heavy chest armor, the Henshin belt's windmill design, and its metallic luster. Furthermore, artificial hair is used to reproduce the characteristic exposed hair ends and neck of this version.
The articulated body utilizes the series' common "RAH301 Kai" body combined with specialized parts, offering highly flexible articulation and including multiple interchangeable hand parts to recreate classic transformation poses and cool combat stances from the film. Various body parts are made from soft plastic, while the leather-style upper and lower body costumes use high-durability synthetic leather. The red scarf and black coat are sewn from fabric, not only greatly restoring the texture of the in-show costume but also maintaining the range of motion for all joints.
Accessories include the series' standard metal articulated stand with a round base. Additionally, it comes with hidden parts that cannot yet be revealed, allowing for the recreation of key plot points from the movie!
