The large-scale articulated figure series 『REAL ACTION HEROES』, released by Japanese model maker MEDICOM TOY, prior to the release of the film "Shin Kamen Rider," successively announced 30 cm tall articulated figures of the two protagonists, Kamen Rider No. 1 and Kamen Rider No. 2. Now, weeks after its release and with spoilers lifted, MEDICOM TOY has officially revealed the hidden accessories included with both products!
Released in March 2023, "Shin Kamen Rider," a work commemorating Kamen Rider's 50th anniversary, is a reinterpretation of the original "Kamen Rider" by director Hideaki Anno. Starring talented young actors Sosuke Ikematsu as the new generation's Kamen Rider No. 1 Henshin user, Takeshi Hongo, and Tasuku Emoto as Kamen Rider No. 2 Henshin user, Hayato Ichimonji, it presents audiences with a fresh story of Kamen Rider No. 1 and No. 2 teaming up to fight the mysterious organization "SHOCKER," all in a modern style infused with nostalgic elements.
The hidden accessories revealed for the 'REAL ACTION HEROES Kamen Rider No. 1 / No. 2' this time are the head sculpt parts of the two actors and handheld Kamen Rider helmets. Prototyped by Kyoichi Shimazaki, a master of digital sculpting, these accessories faithfully reproduce the faces and hairstyles of Takeshi Hongo and Hayato Ichimonji from the film. They can be freely interchanged with the helmeted head parts, allowing for play with two distinct looks.
