Following the release of the popular mecha girl plastic model kit series 'Megami Device' from Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, and after 'AUV Amaterasu Regalia,' today they once again announced their latest product, 'AUV Susanoo Regalia,' scheduled for release in October 2023.
The AUV Series is conceptually the next-generation evolution of the Shura Series, utilizing a larger body with enhanced output, and further boosting performance with AUV frames integrated into the limbs. Following the release of AUV Susanoo in 2022, its counterpart, AUV Amaterasu, has finally been announced. Amaterasu is a direct descendant and enhanced model of Shura Archer and Tamamo-no-Mae, excelling in shooting and electronic warfare. This 'Susanoo Regalia' release is a new equipment set that simultaneously pursues both magnificent aesthetics and practical combat functionality. It features the same 'Shin-Goi' body armor as Amaterasu Regalia and is equipped with the lighter and more agile new weapon, 'Totsuka-no-Tsurugi'.
'AUV Susanoo Regalia' is a modification based on the previously released standard version. The new Machineca body, with its proportions re-adjusted by sculptor Masaki Apsy, stands at a larger 18 cm tall upon completion compared to previous series entries, and similarly features flexible articulated joints for dynamic posing. New parts are used for the hair and chest to recreate the design, and it includes three pre-painted face parts and multiple interchangeable hand parts.
Developed concurrently, most of the 'Shin-Goi' body armor parts are identical to those of Amaterasu Regalia. By simply changing the part installation positions and altering the color scheme to Susanoo's purple-black and red tones, a distinct style from Amaterasu can be achieved, with the highly exposed design fully showcasing the body's beautiful curves. The crown-shaped head halo can not only be reassembled into a shield but also combined with various parts of the Totsuka-no-Tsurugi for enhancements, such as the [Heavenly Form] for enhanced cutting ability, the [Serpent Form] for enhanced thrusting ability, and can even further combine with Amaterasu's armaments, offering a wealth of playability.
