BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced today that the latest product from the assembly model series『SDCS (SD CROSS SILHOUETTE)』, which allows for free transformation between high and low head-to-body ratio frames, the "F9-1 Kai" from "Gundam Build Metaverse", is scheduled for release on November 11, 2023.
The F9-1 Kai is a female ninja-type SD Gundam based on the Gundam F91. Its original setting was the Gunpla used by the kunoichi Ayame during her middle school years, before she created the "RX-Zeromaru" in "Gundam Build Divers". However, there was no opportunity to use this setting during the anime's production. This time, it makes its official debut as Ayame's new mobile suit in "Gundam Build Metaverse", capable of performing the "Emergency Sortie Jutsu" which transforms "afterimages with mass" into classic SD Gundams such as Musha Gundam, Knight Gundam, and Commander Gundam for cooperative combat, and even utilizing their armaments for equipment changes.
The "SDCS F9-1 Kai" utilizes multi-color molded parts and clear red effect parts to recreate its in-show appearance. Continuing the series' features, it includes the classic low head-to-body ratio SD frame and the highly posable high head-to-body ratio CS frame, which can be freely interchanged. By swapping parts, it can also reproduce its maximum output mode and a light equipment mode where much of its upper body armor is removed.
The shield armament can transform into two beam kunai, while the physical kunai can transform into a beam rifle mode. Furthermore, it can link with the separately sold "LEGEND BB Musha Gundam / Knight Gundam / Commander Gundam" three products, equipping their upper body parts to recreate the ninja techniques used in the show!
