Prime 1 Studio's Q-version brand "Cutie1 (キューティ１)", which reinterprets various IP characters in a plush doll style, announced new figures yesterday (10th) from "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition". Following several EVA units, it's now the Angels' turn to appear! The "Fourth Angel", "Fifth Angel", and "Tenth Angel" are simultaneously launching, with an estimated release from April to June 2024.
Reinterpreted with unique proportions and a plush toy-like appearance, these "Angels" from Cutie1 are crafted from PVC and ABS, standing approximately 11 cm tall. While faithfully recreating the Angels' distinctive features, they incorporate the brand's signature button eyes, zippers, and surface stitching characteristic of plush dolls. The Fourth Angel is particularly endearing, with its upper body and head exaggeratedly enlarged. Its arms, which would originally inspire a sense of dread, are now irresistibly cute, and its short fingers are simply adorable.
The interpretations of the Fifth and Tenth Angels are also excellent. While adhering to the principle of enlarged heads and shortened bodies, Cutie1's superb design ingenuity is evident in many details. Each Angel figure and its dedicated display base feature built-in magnets, enhancing stability when displayed and providing a satisfying tactile experience. EVA fans will definitely want to add these to their collection!
