Japan's official "Mobile Suit Gundam" Gunpla flagship store, GUNDAM BASE, recently announced its latest store-exclusive limited item, the "HG TOLRO-800 Toroha" from "Mobile Suit Gundam UC," scheduled for release in August 2023.
Known as "Toroha," the TOLRO-800 Type Mini MS manufactured by Torulo Corporation is the latest engineering mini MS from Universal Century 0096 in "Mobile Suit Gundam UC." Standing approximately 3 meters tall, it features a clear canopy cockpit, flexible manipulator arms capable of various engineering tasks, and a propulsion backpack. It can operate both in the gravity environments within colonies and in the vacuum of space outside colony walls. In the series, protagonist Banagher used this machine to rescue the heroine Mineva.
The "HG TOLRO-800 Toroha" utilizes multi-color molded parts to faithfully recreate its earthy yellow exterior armor and gray internal frame structure. Clear parts are used for the cockpit canopy, which can be opened to reveal the detailed interior pilot seat. Furthermore, the product boasts extensive articulation mechanisms, including movable hydraulic cylinders on the wrists and three claws on both the left and right hands. The pipelines on both arms are made with deformable metal wires, ensuring a wide range of motion for the arms.
