Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's MECHA SMILE brand's "MODEROID" model kit series has announced its latest product from the classic OVA "Madou King Granzort: The Last Magical Battle," the "MODEROID Hyper Granzort," with a suggested retail price of 6,200 JPY, slated for release in December 2023.
In the OVA "Madou King Granzort: The Last Magical Battle," released in 1990, to combat the Jado Tribe's Grunwald, the Long-Eared Tribe infused the legendary power of the Moon God into the Madou King statue, allowing Invincible Granzort to revive in its ultimate form, "Ultimate Madou Granzort."
The "MODEROID Hyper Granzort" model kit features multi-color molding and pre-painted parts, faithfully recreating its larger-than-other-Madou-Kings stature from the show. Once assembled, it stands approximately 19 cm tall, making it the largest in the MODEROID Madou King series! Its entire body is equipped with multiple articulated joints, allowing for various battle poses, enhanced by the Hyper Erde Kaiser sword, which comes with three types of blades, depicting different combat states enveloped in normal/golden/flame Madou power effects!
Additionally, the original design interchangeable backpack parts, when combined with separately sold MODEROID series "Super Granzort," "Super Winzart," and "Super Aquabeat" parts, can recreate the appearance of the Sun King!
