Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya recently exhibited prototypes for new plastic model kits based on the popular action game series "Mega Man X": "X Falcon Armor" and "Axl". Release dates are yet to be determined.
The "X Falcon Armor" prototype on display faithfully recreates the sleek and cool armor design from the game, showcasing its characteristic lightness and dynamism with appropriate armor thickness, while also ensuring that the back wings do not interfere with other articulated parts. As for Axl, in addition to being able to pose him in cool dual-wielding combat stances thanks to his flexible articulation, special attention has been paid to his body balance, with his limb parts being more slender compared to X and Zero, reflecting his youthful and inexperienced character design.

Furthermore, Kotobukiya is also developing two new products, "Black Zero" and "X Ultimate Armor Triangle Thunder Ver.", which are modifications of previous kits. Black Zero will not only feature a recolor of the standard Zero but is also planned to include new parts to recreate his classic in-game move. Moreover, by swapping transparent parts, it will be possible to recreate the replica Black Zero that appeared in "Mega Man X2". The "Ultimate Armor Triangle Thunder Ver." is expected to include powerful Triangle Thunder effect parts, allowing for the recreation of X's full-body defensive stance.
