Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, in collaboration with renowned Japanese modeler "NAOKI," has finally officially announced their original model project "TITANOMACHIA (ティタノマキア)"! The first installment will feature the "Exoskeleton" series—the male-use armor "GALE HOUND" 1/12 scale assembly model kit, with a suggested retail price of 8,800 JPY, scheduled for release in October 2023!
Multi-talented creator NAOKI-sensei, who serves as a modeler, designer, and producer, has first unveiled the "GALE HOUND" 1/12 scale assembly model kit from the "Exoskeleton" series within his original model project "TITANOMACHIA." In terms of its setting, the GALE HOUND is a flagship armor developed by Glachies Corporation. With its exceptionally high basic performance, overwhelming versatility, and excellent cost-effectiveness, it is widely used as combat attire by various national armies and mercenaries. Based on the fundamental operating concept of a reinforced exoskeleton, its functions are streamlined as much as possible to provide wearers with the highest level of athletic performance. It comes with the standard accessory "Smasher," which can transform into a rifle or even a cannon connected to the armor.
In terms of design, in addition to faithfully reproducing NAOKI-sensei's cool and sleek styling, articulated modeler Yoichi Sakamoto was invited as a joint design consultant to ensure that each armor maintains a high level of mobility while achieving a realistic and natural appearance when worn. The TITANOMACHIA series also features a common 3mm connection standard, allowing it to be assembled with other Kotobukiya original model kits such as M.S.G and Frame Arms, enabling customization through interchangeable parts.
Accessories include four pairs of interchangeable hands (weapon-holding hands share the same specifications as the M.S.G series, allowing for expanded armaments), as well as an interchangeable male head, which can display the character without his helmet. Each part features precise color coding, multi-color molding, and pre-painted clear parts, allowing players to achieve a high level of completion simply by assembling.
