Figurama Collectors, a sculpting team established in 2015, recently unveiled their new 1/4 scale full body statue of Revy from Japanese manga artist Rei Hiroe's Black Lagoon! Shipping is expected in Q2 2024.
Black Lagoon tells the story of Rokuro Okajima, an ordinary Japanese salaryman who is kidnapped by pirates while transporting illicit documents for his company, Asahi Heavy Industries. After being coldly abandoned by his company and fueled by his own burgeoning passion, he joins the pirates who abducted him, a mercenary ship crew known as the "Black Lagoon Company." This time's protagonist, Revy, is one of Black Lagoon's members, bearing the moniker "Two-Hand" (Dual Wielder). She possesses exceptional combat abilities, capable of single-handedly wiping out a fleet of six ships. Her demeanor is also quite ruthless, often wanting to put a couple of bullets into people just to make a point.
This piece stands approximately 53 cm tall and is crafted from composite materials such as Polystone, PVC, and clear resin, creating Revy's dynamic pose as she charges forward, stepping on a table. From her battle-enjoying smile, sharp gaze, the tattoo on her right arm, the combination of her black tank top and denim shorts, to the leather-textured holsters and the metallic weight of her two silver customized Beretta 92Fs pistols, everything is excellently rendered. Furthermore, it comes with three interchangeable head sculpts: one biting a magazine, one with a cigarette in her mouth, and one with her long hair down. Beyond Revy herself, the base, designed with a bar scene theme, is also superb, perfectly capturing the atmosphere of the lawless city. The enlarged Beretta 92Fs pistols on either side are also an eye-catching and unique element, highly conveying author Rei Hiroe's deep fascination with firearms in his work.
▼ The base, built up with rich details to create a strong sense of dynamism, is truly impressive!
