Following the Strike Gundam and Duel Gundam, the 'ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.' series of robot-themed articulated figures, released by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Toy Department TAMASHII NATIONS, recently unveiled prototypes for its latest additions from 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED': "Blitz Gundam," "Aegis Gundam," and "Buster Gundam." The Blitz Gundam has been confirmed for commercialization, with a release date yet to be determined.

The five mobile suits—Strike Gundam, Duel Gundam, Blitz Gundam, Buster Gundam, and Aegis Gundam—were the first-generation GAT-X series mobile suits secretly developed by the Atlantic Federation in the series. They featured a common frame, armor, instruments, and weapons that could be quickly changed for maintenance or upgrades, and the ability to utilize beam weapons. Furthermore, the entire series was equipped with the PS (Phase Shift) armor system, which nullified solid projectiles and physical blade weapons, making them a formidable counter to the Z.A.F.T. forces, who lacked beam weapon technology at the time. However, they were later preemptively seized by the Z.A.F.T. military, with all but the Strike Gundam falling into Z.A.F.T.'s hands.

From the three prototypes currently on display, it's evident that the overall styling continues the aesthetic of the previous two releases. The sophisticated and sharp designs are sculpted based on anime setting drafts, and rich colors are used to reproduce the in-series color schemes. Accessories also include their respective characteristic armaments, such as the Blitz Gundam's 'Trikeros' assault shield system and the Buster Gundam's 350mm gun launcher. However, the most intriguing question remains whether the Aegis Gundam will be able to reproduce its transformed MA (Mobile Armor) form, though unfortunately, the transformation mechanism was not showcased this time.
