Japan's FuRyu Corporation (フリュー株式会社), a company with diverse entertainment businesses, is launching a 1/7 scale PVC figure of the heroine "Reala" (リアラ) from the classic PlayStation 2 RPG game "Tales of Destiny 2" through its high-quality PVC figure brand "F:NEX". The figure is scheduled for release in August 2024.
"Tales of Destiny 2" is an RPG game released by Bandai Namco on the PS2 console in 2002. It is one of the few direct sequels in the series, with its predecessor, "Tales of Destiny," released on the PS console in 1997. The story continues from the previous installment, following "Kyle," the son of the previous generation's protagonists. Kyle embarks on a journey to follow in his father's footsteps and become a hero. During his travels with his friend Loni, he encounters a mysterious girl named "Reala" in some ruins. She possesses incredible powers and is searching for a hero. The story unfolds from this encounter.
This Reala figure, produced by F:NEX, is a special product released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Tales of Destiny 2" and is produced on a made-to-order basis. Standing approximately 34.5 cm tall, its design is inspired by the illustration of Reala drawn by the renowned illustrator Mutsumi Inomata (本名：猪股睦彌). Reala is depicted gracefully dancing on a mirror-like water base, holding a bouquet in one hand and a staff in the other, creating an overall dreamy appearance. Reala's expression is perfectly captured, with her enchanting large eyes, and every detail of her hair and costume meticulously recreated. Fans of the "Tales of Destiny" series are highly recommended to add this to their collection.
