Following the popular ZOIDS series from Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY, the 'ZOIDS 40TH ANNIVERSARY PROJECT' for its 40th anniversary, after "Blade Liger" and "Liger Zero", has once again announced its latest third product: the "ZOIDS AZ-03 Murasame Liger", with a suggested retail price of 14,300 JPY, scheduled for release in late January 2024!
The Murasame Liger is a Zoid piloted by Ruuji, the protagonist of the anime "Zoids Genesis". It was salvaged from the water by the villagers of Mirodo. The missing greatsword on its back was precisely the "Murasame Blade" that Ruuji's ancestors had enshrined in their home. Because Ruuji wished upon the greatsword to control a Zoid, the Murasame Liger recognized Ruuji as its pilot. The Murasame Liger possesses extremely strong vitality, capable of self-restoration even if its Zoid Core is damaged, and can transform and evolve into two forms: Hayate Liger and Mugen Liger.
As the third release in the 'ZOIDS 40TH ANNIVERSARY PROJECT,' commemorating the 40th anniversary of the highly popular Zoid model series, the "ZOIDS AZ-03 Murasame Liger" 1/72 scale model utilizes TAKARA TOMY's latest technology for precise part separation, combined with partially pre-painted parts and body marking decals, to faithfully recreate the Murasame Liger's cool armor design with Japanese samurai elements! It features an internal motor power unit, capable of reproducing realistic feline-like walking poses. Furthermore, LED light-up mechanisms are included in the eyes and core, creating a sense of realism!
The giant blade "Murasame" on its back faithfully reproduces the inscriptions on the blade and uses electroplating to achieve the texture of Zoidium metal. It also features a pull-out and folding design to recreate various attack forms from the anime, such as thrusts and left/right slashes. The cockpit can be displayed in an open state, and a 1/72 scale unpainted pilot Ruuji figure is included.
