FuRyu Corporation (フリュー株式会社), a Japanese company with diverse entertainment businesses, will release a 1/7 scale PVC figure of "Elaina", the protagonist from the anime series "Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina", in a knit dress version, under its toy brand "F:NEX", which offers numerous high-quality PVC figures. It is scheduled for release in January 2024, with a reference price of 18,700 JPY.
"Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina" (魔女の旅々) is a novel by Japanese author "Jougi Shiraishi". It was first self-published on Amazon Kindle in 2014, then revised and released as a paperback by SB Creative in 2016, followed by sequels. A manga adaptation began serialization in November 2018, with four volumes released to date. An anime adaptation, consisting of 12 episodes, premiered in October 2020. The story follows the protagonist, Elaina, who, inspired by a book called "The Adventures of Nike" from a young age, aspires to become a witch and travel the world. At 14, she became a witch apprentice and was recognized by her master, the "Stardust Witch". Due to her hair color, she was bestowed the title "Ashen Witch". The story unfolds as she embarks on her travels, encountering various people, some of whom lead to thought-provoking tales. Her past experiences of becoming a witch are also occasionally interspersed.
