GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan today announced the latest sixth release in its original plastic model kit series "Chitocerium", "VI-carbonia graphites", slated for release in December 2023.
The "Chitocerium" series is a bishoujo plastic model kit line jointly produced by GOOD SMILE COMPANY, Japanese illustrator "huke", and "Masaki Apsy", the sculptor responsible for designing figma series joints and the base bodies for "Frame Arms Girl" and "Megami Device". While seemingly similar to the popular "mecha musume" (mechanical girl) theme currently trending in the industry, its fundamental design is distinctly different, imbued with a strong fantasy aesthetic. In its lore, "Chitocerium" is a fantastical realm, and the fairy-like beings within it are called "fragments". Born in Chitocerium, they are its guardians. Though they possess a humanoid appearance, they are not human, their eyes gleaming with a mysterious radiance. Only those authorized by them are deemed worthy to possess them.

The sixth release, "VI-carbonia graphites", represents soldiers within this fantasy world, each with diverse appearances and specific roles. Each kit includes a posable base body, along with various styling parts, different equipment, and four interchangeable face parts with different eye colors, allowing for the assembly of soldiers with varying hairstyles, visages, and gear.
Continuing the series' characteristic features, it utilizes a dedicated posable base body designed by Masaki Apsy, boasting an extremely wide range of articulation for recreating various elegant and dynamic poses. This base body, along with its equipment, can be fully stored within a hexagonal storage box, presenting a beautifully curled doll-like posture that showcases exquisite design craftsmanship. Aside from the logo on the outer box, which uses a transfer decal, all other parts are composed of pre-colored plastic and pre-painted components, allowing for a beautiful pattern on the clothing and vivid expressions straight out of the box.
