Japanese toy brandELECTRIC TOYS's new soft vinyl toy brand, "SOFVIPS" (ソフビップス), will release a soft vinyl figure of "Blues", who is like Rockman's older brother from CAPCOM's classic action game "Rockman". It is scheduled for release in December 2023.
Released by CAPCOM in December 1987 on the Nintendo Famicom, "Rockman" was the first title in the series. It adopted a non-linear stage progression, allowing players to freely choose stages, which was quite novel at the time. Initially, protagonist Rockman only had basic bullets, but he could acquire weapons by defeating enemy bosses. The game also introduced a weapon-weakness system, similar to rock-paper-scissors, where finding the corresponding weapons for each enemy was part of the fun. After its release, it was beloved by many players, selling 810,000 copies. A sequel was released the following year in 1988, and it has since become one of the classic series.

This SOFVIPS Blues soft vinyl figure by Electric Toys stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. Blues's appearance is somewhat similar to Rockman's, but his primary colors are red and gray, and his helmet features a black visor. His characteristic yellow scarf highlights his lone wolf demeanor. The jet nozzles on his feet are also sculpted, and there's CAPCOM's authenticated engraving. While Blues's arm cannon is not interchangeable, this product includes his exclusive equipment, the "Blues Shield" (ブルースシールド), which can be freely attached to his right arm. The level of detail and accuracy is remarkably high.
