Japan's Prime 1 Studio, under its popular statue series "Ultimate Premium Masterline," will release a three-dimensional statue of the boss character "Penetrator" from the remake of the challenging action game Demon's Souls. It is scheduled for release between September and December 2024, priced at 184,690 JPY.
Fans of 'Souls-like' games are certainly no strangers to Demon's Souls. It is the very first title in the 'Souls-like' genre, an action role-playing game developed by From Software exclusively for Sony, released on the PS3 console in 2009. Its high-difficulty gameplay caused many players to complain at the time, yet it unexpectedly garnered widespread acclaim. In 2020, a significantly enhanced remake, featuring improved graphics and systems, was specially released on the PS5 console.
In the remake, players encounter the Penetrator while pursuing the Fat Official. The scene where he pierces the Fat Official with his blood-stained sword surely startled many. The Penetrator is one of the royal city guardians of Boletaria in the Northern Kingdom, fighting with a massive blood-stained sword, yet his movements remain swift and fluid. He and the Tower Knight are collectively known as the "Sword" and "Shield" of Boletaria's royal city.
This Penetrator three-dimensional statue from Prime 1 Studio stands at an impressive 82 cm tall due to the long sword he wields. The Penetrator is depicted holding his sword with both hands, as if poised to strike head-on, standing in a stance that suggests he is awaiting his opponent's move. His entire magnificent armor is meticulously recreated, with every detail faithfully restored, including carefully highlighted shadows and bright areas. The base also features a unique design, with four similarly sword-wielding knights at its four points, giving the entire piece an extraordinary presence. The included BONUS special parts are a collection display of three iconic pieces of equipment representing the protagonist's style: a shield, a straight sword, and an iron helmet.
