TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., has officially announced today the latest product from its robot-themed articulated finished product "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E." series, the "Blitz Gundam," scheduled for release in December 2023.
The GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam is one of the five prototype mobile suits from the first-generation GAT-X series, secretly developed by the Atlantic Federation. It utilizes the X200 series frame, capable of mounting special weaponry. Not only does it possess a flexible movable frame and "Phase Shift Armor" that renders physical attacks almost ineffective, but it also features a stealth system that controls "Mirage Colloid" particles. These colloidal particles are magnetically fixed to the armor surface to achieve electronic and visual stealth effects, allowing it to perform assault and infiltration missions using armaments such as the "Trikeros" offensive shield system and the "Gleipnir" piercing claw.
The "ROBOT魂 Blitz Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E." thoroughly recreates the cool jet-black armor, various thrusters, and Mirage Colloid storage tanks based on the anime settings. It also features numerous gold and silver paint applications with a heavier feel to express a metallic texture. The entire model utilizes the series' characteristic flexible articulation mechanisms, including the left and right split of the chest armor that links with the shoulder joints, a waist that can swing significantly back and forth, sliding hip joints, and left and right calf articulation, allowing for extremely dynamic and cool battle poses!
The armament accessories include the "Trikeros" offensive shield system and the "Gleipnir" piercing claw. It thoroughly recreates the beam rifle, beam saber, and lancer dart armaments housed within the Trikeros. Not only does it include two different types of beam saber effect parts, but it also comes with a cable and propulsion effect parts to recreate the "Gleipnir" in its launched state. Furthermore, the classic scene from episode 29 of the anime, where the Blitz Gundam is bisected by the Sword Strike Gundam, can also be recreated using the included spark effect part in conjunction with the separately sold "Sword Striker Pack" and "Strike Gundam"!
