Today, BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, officially announced the latest product from the 'ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.' series, based on "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED": the "Sword Striker Pack & Effect Parts Set", scheduled for release in December 2023.
The AQM/E-X02 Sword Striker Pack is an equipment developed specifically for close-quarters combat, allowing the Strike Gundam to transform into the Sword Strike Gundam. Its main armament is the 15.78m "Schwert Gewehr" anti-ship sword, which is comparable in length to the MS itself and composed of both a physical blade and a beam blade. The left shoulder is equipped with the "Midas Messer" beam boomerang, capable of surprise attacks with its unique flight trajectory. Furthermore, the "Panzer Eisen" rocket anchor can be launched from the left arm, using the claw at the anchor's tip to capture and destroy enemy mobile suits.
The "ROBOT SPIRITS Sword Striker Pack & Effect Parts Set ver. A.N.I.M.E." is meticulously crafted based on the refined designs and colors from the anime. It faithfully recreates signature armaments such as the 15.78m "Schwert Gewehr" anti-ship sword, the "Midas Messer" beam boomerang, and the "Panzer Eisen" rocket anchor. When combined with the separately sold "ROBOT SPIRITS Strike Gundam ver. A.N.I.M.E." main unit, it perfectly recreates the Sword Strike Gundam.
Furthermore, the set includes a rich variety of effect parts. These allow for recreating the beam blade deployment of the anti-ship sword, the deployment and thrown, spinning states of the shoulder beam boomerang, and the launch state of the left arm's rocket anchor with a freely bendable cable part. With the dedicated display stand, each part can also be individually mounted on a support arm for display.
