The robot-themed action figure series 'ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 with Phantom Bullet", the "Zaku II F2 Type (Rangefinder Use)", scheduled for release in November 2023.
The Gelgoog J (Sergeant Tag's unit), Zaku II (Gunner Use), and Zaku II F2 (Rangefinder Use) are new models developed by the Zeon remnants in UC 0082, after the One Year War. Sergeant Tag's Gelgoog J is responsible for command and determining firing angles, the Zaku II F2 (Rangefinder Use) piloted by Professor is responsible for rangefinding and ballistic calculations, and the Zaku II (Gunner Use) is responsible for firing. These three mobile suits form the "Zamel Cannon Unit", launching sniper terror attacks against the Earth Federation's lunar base.
The "ROBOT SPIRITS Zaku II F2 Type (Rangefinder Use) ver. A.N.I.M.E." is based on the previously released F2 type body, featuring new parts to recreate the left shoulder armor without spikes. It boasts a two-axis knee joint, pull-out shoulder joints, and multiple articulation axes in the elbows, allowing for dynamic and natural combat poses. Characteristic equipment such as the rangefinder, Gatling shield, and Zamel Cannon base are also included as accessories.
The Gatling shield has been repainted with F2 type specifications, and the rangefinder includes cable parts to connect to the head. The massive cannon base can be detached from its stowed position on the back and deployed, combining with the cannon barrel parts from the separately sold "Zaku II (Gunner Use)" to recreate the impressively sized Zamel Cannon!
