The latest product from the Japanese MECHA SMILE brand's "MODEROID" model kit series, "Vilkiss" from the anime "CROSS ANGE: Rondo of Angel and Dragon," was announced today for release in February 2024.
The unit Vilkiss, piloted by the protagonist Ange, who was stripped of her princess status and became a lower-class warrior, was originally an old-model Para-mail owned by the anti-dragon organization "Arzenal." Despite its extremely high performance, it was difficult to control and left to rust. However, when Ange piloted it, her royal bloodline and royal ring awakened Vilkiss's true power, gradually unlocking various modes with powerful capabilities such as dimensional jumps, energy greatswords, and convergent spacetime cannons.
The "MODEROID Vilkiss" utilizes multiple molded colors and partially pre-painted parts to reproduce its distinctive blue and white armor and gold frame, with water-slide decals for the body markings. When completed, the kit stands approximately 16 cm tall and includes interchangeable weapons such as an assault rifle, Zanscalper sword, and freeze bullets, allowing for cool battle poses with its highly articulated joints.
By swapping parts, Vilkiss can also reproduce the deployed appearance of its back wings and its transformation into "Flight Mode." A mini figure of Ange in a riding pose is included, allowing for the recreation of the piloting state in Flight Mode!
