To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Fist of the North Star, Prime 1 Studio, a Japanese high-quality statue manufacturer renowned for its powerful scale and exquisite details, will release a new Fist of the North Star product in its "Ultimate Premium Masterline" series: the "Kenshiro & Yuria Pole Star of Love" 1/4 Scale Statue. The suggested retail price is 208,890 JPY (Bonus Version), limited to 500 units worldwide, with an estimated release from October 2024 to January 2025.
The classic Japanese martial arts manga, Fist of the North Star, is a title even those unfamiliar with the original work have likely heard of. The manga began serialization in 1983, with Buronson as the writer and Tetsuo Hara as the artist. The series has accumulated over 100 million copies in circulation worldwide and has been adapted into anime and video games. The story is set in a future where human civilization has been destroyed by nuclear war, and the surviving humans live by the law of the jungle, until the appearance of Kenshiro, the 64th successor to the ancient Chinese mysterious assassination art of Hokuto Shinken, bearing seven scars on his chest.
The Prime 1 Studio "Kenshiro & Yuria Pole Star of Love" 1/4 Scale Statue brings Kenshiro and Yuria, symbols of supreme love, to life in three dimensions! Under the supervision of original author Tetsuo Hara, the statue depicts Kenshiro embracing Yuria. Based on Sensei Tetsuo Hara's illustrations, meticulous attention has been paid to the skeletal structure, their intertwined pose, every detail, and the unique light and color of the artwork! Combining the distinctive expressions of the manga with 3D realism, the original artwork is perfectly recreated in three dimensions.
The muscle details, the texture and color of the leather attire, and the armor are all rendered with realistic precision and exquisite detail. Yuria's S-curve is also presented with graceful beauty and dynamic tension! The special base pays homage to the temple where the four Hokuto brothers trained, with Nio statues and colossal stone pillars fallen into the wasteland, conveying the cataclysm of the century's end and the destiny of the Pole Star.
Additionally, the Bonus Version, exclusive to the Prime 1 Studio official store, includes an interchangeable head sculpt of Yuria with open eyes as a special bonus. This allows for the creation of a scene filled with hope, with the two lovers facing forward together!
