Issued by BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division Tamashii Nations, the non-articulated figure brand "Figuarts ZERO," known for its delicate character sculpting, will release its latest "Kingdom" themed product, "Hyou Kou -Shutsjin-", in January 2024!
Hyou Kou, in the story of "Kingdom," was the Qin general who led the protagonist "Shin" in his first major battle, the "Battle of Bayou." Along with Qin's "Monster Bird," "General Ou Ki," Hyou Kou was a great general who profoundly influenced Shin. Hyou Kou could perceive the flow of battle through subtle changes like dust rising on the battlefield or enemy expressions, and was extremely sensitive to the "smell of strategy." He often used "great fire" to describe key factors or locations that could change the tide of battle. Even Ri Boku, one of the Three Great Heavens of Zhao, stated that Hyou Kou was the "epitome of an instinctual warlord," beyond his own comprehension.
This work is a return following the "Hyou Kou" released in April 2020, now bearing the name "Shutsjin." The overall sculpt is essentially the same as the previous version, but the paintwork exhibits a more saturated and dazzling visual effect, closer to the colors of the manga volumes. General Hyou Kou, gripping his spiked shield and wielding his spear, charges into the enemy lines with a roar, a truly powerful pose! His scattered grey hair, flowing cape, and skirt armor all add to the dynamism of his stance. This time, Hyou Kou can also recreate his fierce masked appearance using interchangeable parts – incredibly cool.
▼ Display him alongside "Shin" to recreate a scene of them fighting side-by-side!
