Japanese toy shopping website "amiami" (あみあみ) has partnered with Hobby Japan's figure brand "AMAKUNI" to release a 1/6 scale figure of "Rei Ayanami" from "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition". The reference price is 19,800 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in September 2024!
The "amiami × AMAKUNI Rei Ayanami" 1/6 scale figure faithfully recreates Rei's iconic white plugsuit from the series. Serving as a follow-up to AMAKUNI's previous "Shikinami Asuka Langley [EVA2020]", Ken Yokota once again serves as the sculptor. While the pose is simple, it captures a naturally elegant demeanor, and the slightly floating design accentuates her beautiful body lines. Eimi Hoshina is responsible for the paintwork, applying a glossy finish to the plugsuit to create a delicate sense of transparency. Adorning her face is a rare, gentle smile~
