Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's plastic model kit series "MODEROID" will release the "Iczer Robo" (イクサーロボ) from ACT.III of the classic 80s Japanese robot OVA anime "Fight!! Iczer-One" in February 2024, priced at 5,900 JPY.
The work "Fight!! Iczer-One" (戦え!!イクサー1) was originally serialized as a short story by manga artist "Aran Rei" in the manga magazine "Lemon People", and later adapted into an OVA anime directed by Toshihiro Hirano (known for "Dangaioh"). A total of three volumes were released between 1985 and 1987. The story follows the kind-hearted android protagonist "Iczer-One" (イクサー1, with "1" pronounced as ONE), who has golden hair and wears a pink bodysuit. She is from the nomadic "Cthulhu" tribe and fights desperately against her own people to prevent them from destroying Earth. She seeks out the Earth girl "Nagisa Kano" to synchronize with her and gain the enhanced power of a giant robot.
This Iczer Robo released by MODEROID stands approximately 16 cm tall. In the original work, it is considered a doppelganger of Iczer-One. After being summoned from another dimension, it can absorb both Iczer-One and Nagisa Kano to pilot it from within. Upon successful synchronization, it can unleash immense power. Its appearance features green as the primary visual color, with a sharp and streamlined physique. Its main weapons are energy waves emitted from both hands, flames fired from its chest, and beam cannons from other parts. Thanks to its various articulated joints, it can recreate various exciting poses from the original work. It also includes parts for a face mask and clasped hands for when it emits energy waves.
