The LEGO Group, a Danish toy company, officially unveiled the previously teased Star Wars-themed set "75371 Chewbacca" yesterday (19th), with an anticipated release date of September 1, 2023.

The "75371 Chewbacca" brick-built model consists of 2319 pieces and stands at an impressive 46 cm once assembled. What truly amazes is the method used to construct Chewbacca's fur, employing a large number of sloped and curved elements to create a dense and fluffy visual effect, while still retaining LEGO's signature stud texture. His facial expression is adorably dazed! The color scheme utilizes two different shades of brown to represent his fur. Even more exciting is the classic weapon, the bowcaster, built with Technic elements; its structural charm is even more apparent after the full reveal of the official images. The bandolier is represented by a flat, soft material, and the orange backpack, constructed with flat plates, is also excellent.
Furthermore, while it was initially thought that the set would only include Chewbacca himself and a black polygonal display base, fortunately, that's not the case! This set will come with a Chewbacca minifigure and a Chewbacca information plaque. What I personally adore is the LEGO version of Chewbacca's head sculpt; the more I look at it, the more endearing it becomes.
