Square Enix (Japan) today announced the latest product from its 1/6 scale action figure 'PLAY ARTS改' series, 'Yuna' from 'FINAL FANTASY X', scheduled for release in May 2024.
Yuna, the protagonist of 'FINAL FANTASY X', is a 17-year-old girl living on Besaid Island. Inheriting her father's role as a 'Summoner', she continuously trains in temples with the goal of defeating 'Sin', the colossal beast that has been destroying the civilization of Spira for a millennium. After encountering Tidus, a boy her age from the dream world of Zanarkand, she invites him to join her as a guardian. The two gradually grow closer during their journey, developing mutual affection, leading to heartwarming scenes like their beautiful kiss in the Macalania Spring and tearful partings in life and death, crafting a poignant love story.
The 'PLAY ARTS改 Yuna' figure is crafted with a fully articulated design, standing approximately 24.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates character designer Tetsuya Nomura's vision for her appearance and attire, capturing her distinctive beautiful short hair and the Japanese-inspired elements of her full outfit. The paint application meticulously reproduces the gradient on her sleeves and the elaborate patterns on her belt and skirt. In terms of accessories, in addition to two interchangeable facial expressions and three pairs of interchangeable hands, she also comes with her dedicated weapon, the 'Staff of the Magistral', and interchangeable parts for her flowing hair and sleeves, allowing you to recreate the stunning 'Farplane Sending' scene!
