Japanese model manufacturer Max Factory will release the ultimate "Guyver I" 1/6 scale articulated figure based on the classic manga "Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor"! The suggested retail price is 88,000 JPY, with an estimated release in May 2024.
The manga series "Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor (強殖装甲ガイバー)" by Japanese manga artist Yoshiki Takaya began serialization in "Monthly Shonen Captain" in 1985. Due to multiple interruptions, its serialization has continued for over thirty years without reaching its conclusion. In the story, a Guyver refers to a "host" formed when a human utilizes a Bioboosted Armor unit. The Bioboosted Armor was originally standard equipment for the Creators, but when humans don it, they can unleash hundreds of times more combat power and break free from the Creators' mental control. Guyver I is the form taken by the protagonist, Sho Fukamachi, after bio-boosting, characterized by a blue-green body color and heavy armor.
Fully supervised by the author, Yoshiki Takaya-sensei, the "Guyver I" 1/6 scale articulated figure meticulously recreates the cool armored appearance in a substantial 30 cm height! The paintwork is handled by the renowned modeler MAX Watanabe, faithfully reproducing Guyver I's unique color scheme. The articulation design includes pull-out joints, allowing for easy recreation of Guyver-style poses. The chest armor can also be freely opened and closed, allowing you to enjoy the pose of firing the "Mega Smasher" with the chest armor open!
Furthermore, the eyes, the control medal on the forehead, and the chest lens device all feature built-in lighting mechanisms! Accessories include "High-Frequency Swords," as well as "interchangeable chest armor parts," "interchangeable armpit parts" for more natural Gravity Cannon poses, and a "dedicated display stand."
