The latest product, "Gelgoog J (Sergeant Tag's Unit)," from the 'ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E.' series of robot-themed action figures, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has been announced for release in December 2023, originating from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 with Phantom Bullet."
The Gelgoog J Sergeant Tag's Unit, Zaku II (Gunner Type), and Zaku II F2 (Rangefinder Type) are mobile suits operated by Zeon remnants in UC 0082, after the One Year War. Sergeant Tag's Gelgoog J is responsible for command and determining firing angles, while the Professor's Zaku II F2 (Rangefinder Type) handles rangefinding and ballistic calculations, and the Zaku II (Gunner Type) performs the firing mission. These three mobile suits form the "Zamel Cannon Unit," which carries out sniper terror attacks against the Earth Federation's lunar base.
The "ROBOT SPIRITS Gelgoog J (Sergeant Tag's Unit) ver. A.N.I.M.E." is a modification of the previously released Gelgoog J. It features flexible shoulder and elbow joints, embedded inner knee armor, and characteristic multiple thrusters and two fuel tanks on its back, allowing for more dynamic and natural combat poses. In addition to weapons such as the beam machine gun and spike shield, this unit also includes carrying cases mounted on both outer arms, used to transport Zamel Cannon ammunition, which can open their lids to recreate the reloading action.
The accessories also include multiple pairs of interchangeable sculpted hands, beam machine gun firing effects, four thruster jet effects, and other parts, allowing for a wide range of combat scenes. Furthermore, it comes with mini figures of Sergeant Francis, Sergeant Tag, and the Professor, posed to evoke a lunar escape scene, which can be displayed alongside the three "Zamel Cannon Unit" mobile suits.
