Japanese toy brand BellFine, which has released numerous figures, is scheduled to release in February 2024, a 1/8 scale figure of the Water Hashira, 'Giyu Tomioka', one of the popular characters from the hit series 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba'.

Created by Japanese manga artist 'Koyoharu Gotouge', the super popular manga series 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' (鬼滅の刃), which began serialization in 2016, continues to maintain its popularity despite concluding its run in 2020. The second season of the anime, "Entertainment District Arc," finished airing in February 2022, and the third season, "Swordsmith Village Arc," aired on April 9, 2023. In June, the production of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc" was announced.
As the 'Water Hashira' of the Demon Slayer Corps, Giyu Tomioka, who uses Water Breathing, is the first Hashira to appear in the story. He initially intended to slay the demonized Nezuko but spared her after Tanjiro's earnest plea. After observing the two, he and his master Sakonji Urokodaki vouched for the siblings' character with their lives. He is taciturn and sometimes unsociable. The Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, once jokingly told him that everyone disliked him, but he himself stated, "I am not disliked." In the final battle at the Infinity Castle, he fought alongside Tanjiro against Akaza and defeated him. During the decisive battle against Muzan, his right arm was severed, but he continued to resist fiercely with his left hand, making him one of the few surviving Hashira.
This Giyu Tomioka figure by Bellfine is sculpted in 1/8 scale, standing approximately 27.5 cm tall. It materializes Giyu Tomioka in the dynamic pose of unleashing a Water Breathing technique. The base he stands upon is designed with a wave motif, representing the effects of Water Breathing. Giyu's signature appearance, his haori with different patterns on the left and right, is faithfully recreated. He holds his Nichirin Blade in his right hand, with the words "Destroyer of Demons" (惡鬼滅殺) engraved at the base of the blade. His expression remains his characteristic stoic look, and the details of his clothing are meticulously reproduced.

This product also has a DX (Deluxe) version. The difference lies in the more elaborate base design, which fully materializes the swirling water pillar effects of Giyu's Water Breathing technique. When displayed with the figure, it further emphasizes the impact of his attack. The price is 38,280 JPY (tax included). Additionally, pre-ordering from BellFine's online store will include a wooden plaque accessory inscribed with Giyu Tomioka's name.
