The renowned Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's adorable collectible figure series, "Nendoroid" (ねんどろいど), is set to release one of the characters from the popular 2D fighting game Guilty Gear, "Bridget". She is scheduled for release in January 2024, priced at 7,900 JPY.
The 2D fighting game Guilty Gear, developed by Arc System Works, boasts a distinctly different style from its competitors. With its fluid combos and exquisitely detailed, anime-like characters, it has garnered a loyal fanbase since its debut on the original PlayStation console in 1998, spanning over two decades. The latest installment, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, was released in June 2021.
Bridget, who excels in yo-yo combat, first appeared in Guilty Gear XX in 2002. Despite her cute appearance, her backstory reveals she was originally assigned male at birth and raised as a girl due to certain family superstitions. Bridget initially sought to defy this fate but ultimately realized she wished to continue living as a girl. In the latest title, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, she appears as a DLC character and clearly expresses her gender identity.
This Nendoroid Bridget faithfully recreates her appearance from the latest game, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-. It captures Bridget's inherent cuteness with the Nendoroid's signature adorable style and 2.5-head-tall proportion. She comes with three interchangeable face plates: a smiling expression, a cheerful expression, and a winking expression. As for accessories, Bridget's beloved yo-yo weapon is, of course, included, along with her favorite teddy bear, "Roger," and a "GO" sign.
