GUNDAM SIDE-F, the Japanese "Mobile Suit Gundam" themed facility in Fukuoka, home to the immensely popular life-sized ν Gundam statue, today announced that its latest limited-edition product, "ROBOT SPIRITS MSN-04FF Sazabi Double Horn Funnel Equipment," will be available for sale starting August 11, 2023.
The MSN-04FF Sazabi is a mobile suit that appeared in a special video screened at the Fukuoka "RX-93ff ν Gundam" life-sized statue's unveiling. Like the RX-93ff ν Gundam, its design is based on "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," with the addition of a brand-new original armament not seen in the anime: the "Double Horn Funnel." These large, pincer-like funnels are usually mounted on the backpack and can be remotely controlled to fire beam cannons individually, combine to fire a massive beam cannon, or be wielded in both hands as large beam sabers.
Unlike the original version released in 2012, the "ROBOT SPIRITS MSN-04FF Sazabi Double Horn Funnel Equipment" thoroughly recreates the appearance from the special video using new parts. It features different shades of red armor in an RG-style, with higher-density details on the armor surface, and complete yellow part separation for the thrusters, abdominal energy pipes, and mega particle cannon muzzle throughout the body. It also incorporates more advanced articulation designs from recent years, allowing for a variety of flexible combat poses.
The armament includes the original version's Beam Shot Rifle, Beam Sabers, Beam Tomahawk, Shield, Propellant Tanks, backpack funnel rack, and 6 funnels, as well as the new "Double Horn Funnel" unique to the Fukuoka MSN-04FF version. Paired with various interchangeable hand parts, beam effect parts, a red dedicated stand, and other components, you can recreate scenes from the special video where the Double Horn Funnels are used as giant beam sabers or a massive beam cannon!
