The assembly model series "MODEROID", launched by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, has announced the latest products from "Kannazuki no Miko": "Takeyamikazuchi" and "Takeyamikazuchi (Chikane Piloted Color Version)", slated for release in April 2024. The Chikane Piloted Color Version will be exclusively sold on the GOODSMILE Online Shop.

In the series, Takeyamikazuchi was originally the Orochi robot piloted by Ōgami Sōma, the leader of the Seven Orochi. It possessed excellent mobility and a wealth of beam weaponry, including the special move "Nichirin Kōretsu Daigekiha." Sōma betrayed the Orochi to protect the heroine, Himeko Kurusugawa. However, in the latter half of the story, it was taken by the protagonist Chikane Himemiya, who deeply loved Himeko and chose to become an Orochi and sacrifice herself. When piloted by Chikane, it can form beam arrows and display exquisite archery skills.

The standard color version, "MODEROID Takeyamikazuchi," is constructed from multiple molded color parts and pre-painted parts. Once assembled, it stands approximately 17 cm tall, with articulated joints throughout. This product has been supervised by the original creator, Kaishaku, and rendered in 3D based on the anime's settings, boasting a cool, blocky, and robust armor design. In addition to various interchangeable hand parts and a sword, it can recreate special moves such as the arm and shoulder transformations for "Shamahadan" and "Hikō Zanban" through part swapping, as well as "Nichirin Kōretsu Daigekiha" by deploying the forearm crystals, and "Nichirin Kōretsu Zetsugekiha" by deploying the chest armor!

The limited-edition "MODEROID Takeyamikazuchi (Chikane Piloted Color Version)" not only features a red-toned molded color scheme but also includes new parts such as a dedicated head part revealing a mouth full of fangs, wrist beam arrow effects, and a hand for holding arrows, faithfully recreating Chikane Himemiya's piloted appearance and combat style. Other mechanisms and accessories are identical to the standard version.
