First 4 Figures, a UK-based toy company renowned for releasing a wide variety of three-dimensional character statues based on video game themes, is set to launch a 3D figure of one of the iconic enemy characters from KONAMI's horror game "Silent Hill 2": the "Bubble Head Nurse", in Q3 2024! The price will be US$484.99.
"Silent Hill 2" is the second installment in the series, released on the PS2 console in 2001. It also uses the town of "Silent Hill" as the starting point for its plot, though it is unrelated to the story of its predecessor. The story of the second game describes how the protagonist, "James Sunderland," one day receives a letter sent three years prior by his deceased wife, Mary. The letter reads, "I'm waiting for you in our special place." James, seeking the truth, sets off for Silent Hill, and the story unfolds from there. Incidentally, a remake of this title is scheduled for release.
The Bubble Head Nurse is also one of the iconic enemies in the Silent Hill series. Although she wears a tight nurse's uniform, appearing to have a shapely figure, her appearance from the neck up is a smooth, fleshy sphere, making it unsettling to look at directly. Her body twists as she walks, and when she limps towards the player, dragging an iron pipe, it creates a significant sense of dread.
This "Silent Hill 2" Bubble Head Nurse figure from First 4 Figures faithfully recreates her in-game appearance. The uniquely shaped triangular base is inspired by the hospital scene from the game, featuring mottled tiles, broken bricks and debris, and bent iron bars, perfectly capturing the atmosphere of the Otherworld. The nurse holds an iron pipe in her right hand and points forward with her left. Her figure is slender with beautifully curved legs, but her head's expression appears utterly bizarre. The nurse's uniform also features specially crafted stain effects, adding significantly to the ambiance.
Furthermore, in addition to the Standard Edition, this product also offers a Collector's Edition and an Exclusive Edition. The Collector's Edition features an additional illuminator on the base, with embedded LED lights that can glow and provide illumination, creating a distinct atmosphere. The Exclusive Edition, besides having the same light-up base, also includes an additional nurse's body lying on the ground. Additionally, the head's expression can be changed.
