BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced today that a new product in the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, the "METAL ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) ZZ Gundam Prototype," will be commercialized. This series, known for its metallic paint finish and die-cast frame, is expected to be sold exclusively on PREMIUM BANDAI in the near future.

In its lore, the MSΖ-009 ZZ Gundam Prototype is an experimental unit developed jointly by AEUG and Anaheim Electronics as part of the "Project Z," created to test the transformation and combination mechanism for the Z Gundam's successor, the "ZZ Gundam." The biggest difference between this unit and the ZZ Gundam is the absence of a Core Fighter; it is formed solely by the combination of the "G-Top Fighter 0" and "G-Bottom Fighter 0." Its extremely heavy armor and twin beam rifle features were already established at this stage, but the distinctive head-mounted "High-Output Mega Cannon" weapon had not yet been installed.
Continuing the characteristics of previous Ka signature series products, this ZZ Gundam Prototype will also be thoroughly supervised by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME, incorporating a significant amount of Ver.Ka style to reinterpret the mobile suit. From the official images released so far, it can be seen that the blue and white armor not only features refined detailed sculpting but also bears the familiar red original body markings, showcasing a clean and cool Ver.Ka aesthetic. Furthermore, the internal die-cast frame has been meticulously engineered to recreate the separation and combination mechanisms of the "G-Top Fighter 0" and "G-Bottom Fighter 0."
