Bandai Namco's GASHAPON brand, known for its "Mobile Suit Gundam" themed capsule toys, recently announced the latest product in the "MS MECHANICAL BUST" series, "Gundam Exia (Trans-AM Color Scheme)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam 00", slated for release in December 2023.
The "MS MECHANICAL BUST" series features exquisite bust models of Mobile Suits from the "Gundam" series as capsule toys. Its design concept is similar to the previously released INTEGRATE MODEL Mazinger Z busts, but with a smaller size and a more simplified design. Each product consists of two parts: the "exterior" with high-density detailed sculpting, and the "internal mechanism" which combines precise structure with a lighting gimmick. Once collected, the exterior parts can be attached to the internal mechanism to assemble a Gundam bust approximately 10 cm tall.
This "Gundam Exia (Trans-AM Color Scheme)" is a re-release of the Gundam Exia from the second wave, now with a new color scheme. The overall sculpt remains identical to the second wave, but the molded colors for the colored armor, clear armor, and internal frame have all been replaced with vibrant red tones, faithfully recreating its appearance when activating the GN Drive's triple output enhancement mode, "Trans-AM". The frame part features an LED lighting module in the chest, which, when activated, illuminates the head and chest with a green light!
