GOOD SMILE COMPANY's MECHA SMILE brand in Japan has announced the latest product from its "MODEROID" plastic model kit series, "MODEROID DEMONBANE," based on《Demonbane》. The GOODSMILE Online Shop exclusive "MODEROID DEMONBANE Shantak Set" is also simultaneously available for pre-order, with an anticipated release in June 2024!
Released by Nitro+ in 2003,《Demonbane》is an "absurdly epic super robot ADV" that combines various elements such as Cthulhu Mythos, Tokusatsu heroes, and super robots. While its world-view, filled with mechs and magic, might seem chaotic, the story is incredibly passionate. The giant robot "Demonbane," piloted by protagonist "Daijuji Kurou," is the strongest machine, embodying magical theories, used to combat the evil criminal organization 'Black Lodge'.
The "MODEROID DEMONBANE" makes its reappearance as a plastic model kit, redesigned based on the styling of "HAGANE WORKS DEMONBANE"! Standing approximately 17 cm tall, it features various pre-colored parts, pre-painted components, and waterslide decals for the markings on different parts of the body, allowing for a near-perfect recreation of its in-series appearance upon assembly. For armaments, it includes "Ithaqua," "Cthugha," and the "Barzai Scimitar," as well as open-hand parts specifically for its special move, "Lemuria Impact"!
Additionally, the GOODSMILE Online Shop exclusive "MODEROID DEMONBANE Shantak Set" includes enhanced armaments—the flight unit "Shantak" and the "Shining Trapezohedron," with its brilliant metallic red wings exuding immense presence!
