The 'MS MECHANICAL BUST' series of Gashapon capsule toys, themed after 'Mobile Suit Gundam' and released by Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON brand, recently announced the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY', the 'Strike Freedom Gundam', expected to be released in October 2023.
The 'MS MECHANICAL BUST' is a Gashapon product series that transforms Mobile Suits from the 'Gundam' series into exquisite bust models. Its design concept is similar to the previously released INTEGRATE MODEL Mazinger Z bust, but with a smaller size and a more simplified design. The product consists of two parts: the 'exterior' with high-density detailed sculpting, and the 'internal mechanism' which combines precise structure with a light-up feature. Once collected, the exterior parts can be attached to the internal mechanism to assemble a Gundam bust approximately 10 cm tall.
The protagonist Kira Yamato's late-model exclusive unit, the 'Strike Freedom Gundam', released this time, is similarly divided into three types: colored exterior armor, clear exterior armor, internal frame, and LED light unit. The sculpting meticulously renders the rich lines and layers of the exterior armor, maintaining sharp edge details. The internal frame is composed of clear parts and gold molded parts, housing an LED light-up unit. When lit, it illuminates the eyes and the abdomen's "Falcata" beam cannon muzzle with yellow light!
