Following the "Egon Spengler" statue, the American sculpting brand Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS), known for its large-scale statues that capture character charm, has recently unveiled its new 1/4 scale Ghostbusters-themed statue, "Raymond Stantz," which opened for pre-orders today (14th)! Shipping is expected to begin from September to November 2024.
Released in 1984, Ghostbusters is a horror-comedy film about "ghost-catching," an eternal classic in the hearts of American pop culture enthusiasts. The story follows three doctors expelled from academia – "Peter Venkman," "Raymond Stantz," and "Egon Spengler" – who leverage their expertise in paranormal research to open a ghost-catching company, offering "ghost-busting services" to citizens using their self-developed and designed equipment. Although business was initially slow, they became an overnight sensation after catching the gluttonous Slimer in a luxury hotel, leading to the addition of a new member, "Winston Zeddemore," forming the classic quartet of ghostbusters.
Standing approximately 48 cm tall, this piece exquisitely sculpts "Ray" fully equipped and holding his proton pack. From actor "Dan Aykroyd's" youthful facial contours, the wrinkles of his uniform, and the "STANZ" name tag, to the intricate mechanical details of the proton gun (particle thrower) in his hand and the proton pack on his back, every aspect is rendered with high sculptural precision. It also includes an interchangeable head sculpt featuring goggles. The base continues the rocky texture of the previous release, with a flat surface that allows for display alongside the earlier Egon statue.
The concurrently released PCS Deluxe Version will include an additional "proton stream" effect accessory for the proton gun, while the Silver Exclusive Version will feature extra contents such as Slimer, a certificate, and a statue cleaning kit.
